Privacy Policy
What information we collect
We collect only what's necessary to do business with you:
- Contact inquiries: When you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Payment information: Hosting subscriptions and other payments are processed through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs payment data.
- Website usage: This site does not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics tools. We do not track your behavior on this site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry or provide the service you requested
- To send you information directly related to your account or project (no marketing email without your consent)
- To process payment for services you've purchased
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes
- We do not send unsolicited email or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent
- We do not use your data to train AI models or share it with data brokers
Cookies
This site does not intentionally set cookies. Google Fonts (used for typography) may set a cookie as part of their CDN delivery. If you prefer to avoid this, disabling third-party cookies in your browser will prevent it.
Data retention
Email correspondence is retained as part of normal business records. If you'd like your information removed, email us and we'll delete it promptly.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Email us at the address below and we'll respond within 5 business days.
Terms of Service
Services covered
These terms apply to web hosting, web design and development, photography, and ongoing site update services provided by Bellingham Hosting.
Web hosting
- Hosting is billed monthly via Stripe. Plans are Business ($10/mo) and Non-Profit ($5/mo).
- Hosting is provided on a best-effort basis. Uptime is not guaranteed. This is a small, solar-powered operation — planned and unplanned outages may occur. If guaranteed uptime is required, a large cloud provider is a better fit and we'll tell you so.
- Hosting covers static websites only (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images). Sites requiring server-side processing, databases, or e-commerce backends are outside scope unless separately agreed upon in writing.
- You may cancel hosting at any time. Unused days in a billing period are not refunded.
- If a hosting plan lapses, we'll hold your files for 30 days before removal.
Web design and development
- Projects begin with a free consultation. A written scope of work is agreed upon before any paid work starts.
- Payment terms: 50% deposit before work begins, 50% upon project completion and approval.
- You are responsible for providing all content (text, photos, logos) in a timely manner. Delays in content delivery may delay your launch date.
- You have two rounds of revisions included. Additional revisions are billed at $35/hour.
- Upon final payment, you own your website files outright. We will provide all source files.
- Refunds: if you cancel after work has begun, you forfeit the deposit. If we are unable to complete the agreed scope, a prorated refund will be issued.
Photography
- Photography services are billed at $35/hour, with a one-hour minimum.
- Travel within Whatcom County is included. Travel beyond Whatcom County may incur additional charges, agreed upon in advance.
- Upon payment, you receive a license to use the delivered photos for your business. We retain copyright but will not sell or license the photos to competitors.
Ongoing updates
- Site updates are billed at $35/hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
- Minor updates (text changes, adding a photo) are typically 15–30 minutes. Larger changes will be estimated before work begins.
Limitation of liability
Bellingham Hosting's liability for any claim arising from these services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 30 days prior to the incident. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes will be resolved in Whatcom County, WA.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If changes affect your active services, we'll let you know by email before they take effect. Continued use of our services after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
