I'm Daniel Tucker, and I've spent two decades building websites of all shapes and sizes, from small local business sites like supons.com and the site you're on right now, to large-scale projects for enterprise clients. That range of experience means I know what works, what doesn't, and how to get the right result without overcomplicating it.
No surprises. Here's exactly what working together looks like.
Everything starts with a conversation. We'll meet up, in person in Whatcom County or over a call, and I'll ask about your business, your customers, and what you want your site to do for you. No pressure, no pitch. Just a chat to figure out if we're a good fit and what you actually need.
Once we're on the same page, we'll nail down the basics: how many pages, what content goes where, and what photos you need. I'll help guide you through this. Most people haven't thought about it before and that's completely fine. If you need photography, I can handle that too at $35/hour.
I'll put together the look and feel of your site: colors, layout, fonts, and overall style. This is where it starts to feel real. You'll get to see it, give feedback, and we'll refine it until it feels right. Your input matters here. It's your business and it should look like it.
Once the design is approved, I build it. Fast, clean, and mobile-friendly, so it'll look great whether someone finds you on their phone, tablet, or desktop. I write the code by hand rather than relying on page builders, which means your site loads quickly and doesn't have unnecessary bloat.
Before anything goes live, you get to look it over and request any changes. Wording not quite right? Layout feel off? This is the time to catch it. We'll go back and forth until you're genuinely happy with it, not just "good enough."
Time to go live. I'll handle the technical side: connecting your domain, making sure everything is working properly, and getting it hosted. If you don't have a domain name yet, I can help you pick and register one.
Your site is live, but your business keeps moving. New hours, new menu items, new team members, new photos. I'm available for updates and edits at $35/hour. Most small changes take less than an hour, and you'll always know the cost up front before I touch anything.
